The Challenge's Criteria

In line with the overarching goal of preparing 100 million futures for a world of opportunity by 2030, the Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 4 seeks to support scalable youth-led solutions that:

Candidates should;

1. Utilize Innovative Approaches and Technology: Encourage the use of cutting-edge solutions to address educational challenges.
2. Address Root Causes: Tackle the underlying issues contributing to educational inequality.
3. Drive Impact and Potential to Scale: Demonstrate tangible results and the potential for broad-scale implementation.
4. Collaboration and Recognition: Recognize existing efforts and collaborate with other stakeholders to amplify impact.
5. Facilitate Collective Impact: Engage a diverse range of stakeholders to create opportunities for collective impact.
6. Improve Quality and Access: Enhance the quality of, or access to, education and skills training for youth empowerment.

The challenge invites participation from young individuals affiliated with social enterprises, non-profits, or community organizations, with projects based in locations where Deloitte has a presence.

Areas of Impact

The Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 4 encourages solutions that drive impact in at least one of the following areas:

1. Skills Development and Lifelong Learning: Create opportunities for young people to acquire skills for the evolving workforce.
2. Entrepreneurial Skills Acceleration: Cultivate entrepreneurial skills to foster a new generation of job creators.
3. Inclusive Access to Education: Improve access to education and skills for those at risk of being left behind by the rapidly changing global economy.
4. Digital Skills Empowerment: Support digital skills and the adoption of technologies to empower learners’ access to education and skill development opportunities.

Prize

The winning solution will receive:

1. Sponsorship to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024
2. A US$50,000 grant from Deloitte
3. 12 months of mentorship from a team of Deloitte professionals and partners. The mentorship team will work to accelerate your solution based on the needs of your initiative or organisation, such as business strategy, best practices for data collection, monitoring and evaluation, and product design.
